Botswana has an international country code of +267. Within the country, there is an extensive network of public telephones, reaching even relatively isolated places. Mobile phone network companies are Mascom, Orange and Be Mobile. Sim cards can be bought in most main stores and service shops. Network signal extends to all major towns and parts of the national highway but very poor and unavailable signals in most safari reserves and parks. There are three main commercial internet service providers (ISPs) in Botswana – Info Botswana Internet Services (IBIS), Global Internet Access (GIA) and Mega Internet. The government–owned Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC) supplies all ISPs with a bandwidth of 512 Kbps via Global One from USA and 256 Kbps through Internet Solution from South Africa. ADSL service is available in some cities or towns such as Gaborone, Maun and Francistown.
Postal Services
Government-owned Botswana Post oversees mail and parcel delivery in the country. The corporation also provides banking services in almost 120 offices through an agreement with Botswana Savings Bank.
